Hi, I’m Matt, the founder of ConvertMyTape.com. My journey into the world of video and photo preservation started in Newton, Massachusetts, where I worked for a video editing service. I had the opportunity to help clients transfer their old videos to digital formats, and that sparked my passion for preserving memories. From there, I interned with several companies, including Kodak, where I gained invaluable experience with both traditional and digital media. Working at Kodak gave me a deeper understanding of how important it is to preserve moments, no matter how old the medium is. Along the way, my wife and I traveled extensively, often taking road trips and exploring Europe. I loved collecting old tapes from flea markets and antique shops in each country we visited. This hands-on experience with tapes—coupled with my background in video editing—led me to create ConvertMyTape.com.
